News: Parmigiani Dazzles With La Rosa Celeste From Its Five-Watch Series
A follow-up to the 2021 release of Parmigiani Fleurier’s most demanding project to date—the impressive pocket watch La Rose Carrée—comes the watchmaker’s new collection, Les Roses Carrées, and it’s every bit as impressive as its older sister.
Released to celebrate its founder, Michel Parmigiani’s birthday, Les Roses Carrées is a series of five unique minute repeater pieces at the top of the Parmigiani Fleurier range, set against a backdrop of exclusivity.
The first watch unveiled from the collection is the exquisite La Rosa Celeste—take one look at this number and you won’t be surprised to hear that King Charles III counts a Parmigiani as his favourite watch.
La Rosa Celeste is an extraordinary creation that pays tribute to the age-old artisanal tradition of Grand Feu enamel—as seen on the dial and hunter caseback—and to the favourite colour of the brand's founder, Michel Parmigiani, which is, you guessed it, blue. This electric hue features across this piece including the dial, alligator leather strap and the hunter caseback.
This watch is water resistant to 10 metres and features a stunning 42mm 18k white-gold case, hand-engraved with the La Rose Carrée motif. The crown also dazzles with a cabochon-cut natural sapphire.
Powering this striking piece is the Swiss manual-wind Parmigiani Fleurier in-house calibre PF355 with 35 jewels, 21,600 vph and a power reserve of three days. It’s a stunning movement with Cotes de Genève, open-worked bridges, hand-bevelling and circular graining. The minute repeater boasts cathedral gongs and a continuous chiming sequence.
