Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Self Winding Flying Tourbillon Openworked
Audemars Piguet revealed its self-winding Flying Tourbillon Openworked in 2022 to celebrate the Royal Oak’s 50th anniversary. This similar model features a 41mm ceramic case and bracelet in gleaming white, emphasizing the electric blue of the skeleton dial. Each component has been finished with refined haute horlogerie decorations including “traits tirés”, and circular and sunray brushing.
TAG Heuer Monaco
For the 2021 Only Watch event, TAG Heuer presented a skeletonised Monaco in carbon. This year’s offering features a new case design made from texturised titanium. More impressive still is the movement, a self-winding split-seconds chronograph that’s also made from titanium. Aside from the limited-edition V4 models, this could be the most futuristic Monaco yet.
Breguet Marine Hora Mundi
This incredible world-timer with an innovative instant-jump-time-zone display is destined to be fought over by deep-pocketed Breguet collectors at November’s auction. The dial features a map of the world set against a hand-guilloched wave pattern in blue. It’s a beauty, but the decision to team the rose gold case with a sporty rubber strap will divide opinion.
Tudor Prince Chronograph One
Tudor has unveiled a modern version of its 70s “Big Block” model, and it’ll definitely turn the heads of Rolex Daytona fans. We love the retro-inspired look of this bold 18k yellow-gold and black three-register chronograph. It features an exciting first for the brand, too: the inclusion of a brand-new manufacture chronograph movement entirely developed by Tudor—the new Calibre MT59XX.
Hublot MP-15 Takashi Murakami Tourbillon
Hublot has joined forces with Japanese artist Takashi Murakami for a colourful collaboration involving one of his iconic smiling flowers made up of twelve petals set with 444 gemstones. A standout of this piece is Hublot’s first ever central tourbillon, something that Murakami himself specially requested. Powered by Hublot’s HUB9015 calibre with two spring barrels, this watch boasts an enormous 150-hour power reserve.
Bulgari Octo Finissimo Tourbillon Marble
The Finissimo collection is a marvel of ultra-thin watchmaking and this model takes it to a different level. Featuring a DLC-treated titanium case and bracelet encased in a gorgeous Verde di Alpi marble, this is one classy timepiece. The tourbillon at 6 o’clock is part of Bulgari’s caliber BVL 268—the world’s thinnest manual movement with a flying tourbillon and special ball-bearing system.
Baltic Premier Quantieme Perpetuel
Baltic won an army of admirers with its MR-01, an affordable neo-vintage dress watch that looked high-end yet ran on a relatively cheap Chinese movement. For this year’s Only Watch offering—the second time Baltic has taken part—it’s made its first ever perpetual calendar model. Like the MR-01 the textured dial is mesmerising, and they’ve even put it in a steel and titanium case.
